Ranking your teams: ELO, Power Rankings and other ranking systems

I have never been a fan of college basketball, but I have to admit that it is fun and definitely the league offers a good opportunity to make some profits. Ranking your teams is a powerful way to identify opportunities and take advantage of them. The system can also be used in many different sports like Professional Basketball and Football.
if there is a spread in the bookmaking process, this is the kind of system that allows you to visualize better a direct comparison between opposing teams based upon previous performance.
A basic approach consists on calculate the possible outcome of a match using previous results between the teams and other members of the same league. Remember that information is very important.
